Gardens for the Disabled
Catering for people with mobility needs and special requirements. The structure of the garden would be based on the degree and type of disability. Aromatic plants for the blind, vibrant colours for the partially sighted, level surfaces, raised beds, wheel chair friendly environment, an array of different surfaces and textures for people with autism or learning difficulties.
Access to the different levels in the garden is very important,
as is accessibility to the raised beds, so the disabled person can
maintain their own garden as far as possible
